MMIWG2ST+ NO MORE STOLEN SISTERS

MMIWG2ST+ NO MORE STOLEN SISTERS

When Casey and Dakota first embarked on their journey with 'Protect Our People' an anti-human trafficking movement in 2019, their goal was to address the impact of colonialism on the increased vulnerability of Indigenous womxn to human trafficking in Canada.

Their mission was to raise awareness, advocate for victims, and take action against human trafficking, while highlighting the systemic issues faced by Indigenous communities.

Today, we want to use our platform dedicated to the MMIWG2ST+ (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, Two-Spirit, Trans, and Gender Non-Conforming People) movement, and the upcoming National Day of Awareness on May 5th.

The MMIWG2ST+ crisis is rooted in colonialism and systemic oppression. Indigenous women, girls, and gender-diverse people face staggering rates of violence and discrimination, often with limited resources for justice or healing. It is crucial to raise awareness, foster solidarity, and demand change.

In support of MMIWG2ST+ Decolonial Clothing has crafted a unique design that symbolizes our united stand. Our latest design embodies the strength and resilience of the MMIWG2ST+ community, while raising awareness and supporting the fight for justice.

How You Can Join the Fight:

Wear the Cause: Support our MMIWG2ST+ collection by wearing it with pride, sparking conversations, and showing solidarity with the cause.

Learn and Share: Educate yourself about the MMIWG2ST+ crisis and share your knowledge with others. As we've learned, knowledge is power and can be the catalyst for change.

Participate in Events: Join local events on May 5th to honor MMIWG2ST+ victims and survivors. Attend local workshops and gatherings.

Demand Change: Contact your local representatives, urging them to prioritize MMIWG2ST+ issues, address human trafficking, and work towards real change.

Our ancestors fought for generations to uphold our rights, and it's our responsibility to carry on their legacy. We have the right to live, to safe spaces, to heal. We may not be able to undo the past, but together, we can work towards a brighter future for the next 7 generations and beyond.

A portion of the proceeds from this collection will be donated to Land Back Healing Society.
