Why We Wear Red:
Because Indigenous womxn are 12 times more likely to be missing or murdered than all other women in “Canada”.
Because 84% of Indigenous womxn experience violence in their lifetime.
Because 67% of sexual abuse cases involving Indigenous victims were declined by US prosecutors between 2005-2009.
Because on some reservations the rate of sexual violence committed against Indigenous womxn by non-Indigenous people is 96%.
Because in 2016 there were 5,712 known cases of missing and murdered Indigenous womxn but only 116 were logged into DOJ database.
Because so many Indigenous womxn, girls and two-spirit people go missing and murdered that know we have lost count.

The material feels really nice on the skin. It’s soft on the inside and feels good on the outside of the hoodie. The message; the most important part of this hoodie, is loud and clear. It gets potential allies interested in learning about MMIW. Educating people on the truth is the first step.

Ally here! Love my “MMIWJustice” hoodie. It’s light enough for cool summer evenings and big enough to layer over for colder winter days. Good quality, great print. Love being able to support my beautiful indigenous friends. Quick response from customer service. I didn’t realize items were made to order (cause some things were sold out) and once they let me know I understood why it took longer than expected. Only a few days longer, not a significant amount. Would purchase from them again and would recommend. Can’t wait to visit the actual store next time I’m in Vancouver.
